FOTD : With Lunasol Auroral Purification 2010 Collection

Have been months since I do FOTD or EOTD post, and today I am in good mood and love to share with my my makeup of the day using my latest Lunasol haul!!

I used only 8 products and 5 of them are from Lunasol.. :D

For first time Lunasol has gel eyeliner and I must say I am very surprised with the quality. The color are very intense, long lasting and waterproof. Beside the small portable brush that comes with it are very good and precise to use!

People often asked me why I like Lunasol so much, the reasons are because the texture of the eye palettes are very smooth and pigmented and just with 1-2 swipe I could blend out a smoky eye look and the makeup stay all day long! And once you started using Lunasol, you will set your level of expectation so high that in the future any other brands that you offer less than this would not attract your attention anymore.

My first and pretty Jill Stuart mix blush compact in #09 Little Banquet which was a birthday gift from my girlfriend Vanessa all the way from Taiwan! My new love as well, the blusher gave me slightly warm coral pink..

I must admit when I first opened the packaging, I felt it is too pretty to use it especially the small portable brush that comes with it and probably should stay as my decoration on my dressing table.. So I was using another brush to apply on my face until 2 days ago, I decided to use it.. I must say their brush even though is very small but very dense and soft... just one swipe and the color are ready to be used on my face.

And for my lips, I decided to go neutral...just put on a layer of lip gloss which a blogger friend Nicole gave it to me as a birthday present

But this Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker isn't your NORMAL lip gloss as it is a lip plumper. So once I applied this on my lips, the plumping effect starts to work especially when it get in touch with water.. I feel tingling and vibrating feeling on my lips, and yes it is kinda weird and funny when I first put on it. But after a while, the effect gone and yes I do see my lips get a little bit sexier because it got a bit more fuller. I guess if I put more maybe my lips would turn out like Angeline Jolie's one ?

Review : Empro Day & Night Mascara and other products

Early this month I reviewed about Empro Triangular Eyebrow Auto Pencil and Empro HD Slim Cut Dual Lead Brow Auto Pencil and now I will be reviewing their mascara, eyelashes curler and makeup remover.

This is 2 in one product, day and night mascara.

According to Empro's website, this is extra Volume, extra Length, Vivid, Curlier Curls, Easy to remove, Water resistant, Clump-free, Smudge-free.

Blending natural herbal ingredients with an advanced antioxidant formula, and enriched with vitamin E, the Empro mascara nourishes your eyelashes as it creates a more beautiful you. Its velvety texture feels silky soft on even the most sensitive skin around the eyes.

This Day Mascara which suppose to help Lengthen + extra curl

I applied 2 layer of mascara on my eyes using zigzag method after curling my eyelashes with Doll Lash Curler.

My review : I can see oblivious result of separating my lashes and lengthening as the mascara consists very fine fiber. And its not too much and therefore even after applying the mascara my eye still looks very natural. And the fibers stay on my eyes pretty well too!

Indeed the mascara has the very good curling effect as my lashes look so much curl after using it.

This is the night mascara, the comb is slightly bigger and more volume compare to the Day mascara

My review : It does provide a little more volume however I do not think it has much curling effect like the Day Mascara.

My say : This Empro Day & Night Mascara as overall is a pretty good product, and I would suggest one to apply 2 different mascara (day and night) one after another, to have all the 3 effects ... which is voluming, lengthening and curling eyelashes.. And definitely a good product to put in handbag as I could quickly choose and apply whichever mascara to suit my look without bringing another additional mascara. The mascara itself stay on pretty well and is smudge/water proof free and easily removed with makeup remover.

This Empro Day & Night Mascara is selling at RM58.80 for 10ml , would say a pretty decent price for 2 in 1 product!

Doll Lash Eyelash curler is another brand that are carried by Empro as well which is from Korea.

Surprisingly the eyelashes fit perfectly on my eyes (i.e did not clip the meat around my eyes). The curler curl up my lashes quite well too !

The Doll Lash Scissor is stainless steeel... pretty handy and sharp , done a job of what a scissor should do !

Empro's Perfect Eye & Lip Makeup Remover- RM39.80 for 5.1 fl oz

My review : The makeup remover is gentle (comes with Vit E....too) as it does not irritate or sting my eyes when I used it. It removes Empro's cosmetic from my eyes quite well. And what I like this remover the most is I like about this makeup remover is pump out bottle where I just press lightly on top of remover and get sufficient remover to remove makeup (so no wasted from spill or over pour out). However the down side is it does not remove properly some of my very waterproof mascara (like Max Factor)

On the other end of the lead is the brush , where it is used to comb our eyebrow to blend and even up the color after application. And I do like this brush because it helps to lighten and even up my eyebrow color after I applied too much. Read further down to find out more.

The lead is softer compare to Empro 1st generation eyebrow Slim Cut Dual Lead Brow Auto Pencil. I just do one stroke of the swatch and can get the intensity of the color above. And the color that I got is e3 Golden Brown and suit my eyebrow color perfectly.

I followed the instruction stated on the product box i.e start applying the inner corner of the brow using the thick lead and lightly stroke upwards to the highest part of the arch. Then use the thin lead to stroke from the arch to outer corner of my brow.

As you can see on the above picture, I applied too much eyebrow color until it looked unnatural and fierce.

The eyebrow here look more natural right ? Because I used the brush to comb my eyebrow to tone down and even up the color here.

Between the 2 eyebrow pencil Slim Cut Dual Lead Brow Auto Pencil which I reviewed earlier and this Triangular Eyebrow pencil, I personally prefer the later one because:-

1)The triangular shape of the lead make the whole application of eyebrow become easier, especially when doing the arch of each of my eyebrow

2) The texture of the eyebrow pencil is softer, so I do not need to apply pressure when applying it

3) The brush that comes with it is equally as important as the lead as it helps to lighten and even up the color of the eyebrow after application

This is made in Korea and it comes as a dual lead, 2 colors , one soft and one hard.

The texture of both the leads are quite hard and the color came out light. And need to re-apply to get the intensity of the color. This is an auto twist out eyebrow pencil which you do not need to sharp it. I tried to rub and wash off the swatch, it's smear proof as it claims!

Word of advice, don't twist out too long the lead when drawing your eyebrow, cause it will cause the lead to break.

My say
As I just shaped my eyebrow by Shu Uemura, the shape of my eyebrow is still in good condition. And I just need to touch up by applying short stroke on my eyebrow (apply stroke by stroke slowly following the direction of my eyebrow growth) to to fill up the color gap.

However I took some time to fill up my eyebrow because the lead is hard. And the good thing about this is I will not get over excited in filling too much color on my eyebrow. And I guess this Empro HD Slim Cut Dual Lead Brow Auto Pencil will be perfect for people with very thin eyebrow shape as the lead is very thin and sharp and this will give precise application. And I think my eyebrow color looks very natural after application.

Tips : One SA told me before that if we want to fill up the gap in our eyebrow easily using any eyebrow pencil, always remember to powder up a bit on the eyebrow areas (i.e apply a thin layer of loose powder or powder ) as the eyebrow pencil color do not work on sticky or wet surface.
