SEP Jeju Mask Pack from South Korea is now available exclusively in Watsons Malaysia!

 

Few days ago the South Korea's leading beauty brand, SEP launched their SEP Jeju Mask Pack in Malaysia.

Made in Korea, each mask contains clean & natural key ingredients from Jeju Island which is known by the locals for clean water & refreshing air all year round! Personally I haven't been to Jeju Island but I have heard so much about it from my families & friends. Jeju Island has really fertile soil formed by volcanic eruptions 2 million years ago and it's a home to a unique and rich ecology with abundance of flora & fauna.

Something caught my attention during the launch last week, I found out that this SEP has really a lot of collaboration with famous Korean makeup artist such as Son & Park who are the senior makeup artist for Jeon Ji-Hyun, Kang Dong-Won, Yu A-In, Koh Hyun-Jung and Lee Hyo-Ri and Seungwon Kim who is the Asia's first Christian Dior makeup artist professor. Quite impressive I think!

In total there are four types of SEP facial mask namely :- 

SEP Canola Honey Nourishing Mask

SEP Cactus Fruit Moisturizing Mask

SEP Tangerine Brightening Mask

SEP Green Tea Soothing Mask.

SEP Tangerine Brightening Mask

This mask brightens dry and dull looking skin with Jeju tangerine and cucumber that contain rich amount of nutrients, such as Vitamin C which enhances the brightening process and helps to diminish the look of existing pigmentation. It contains all-natural ingredients harvested in Jeju Island such as Devil’s claw herb that is anti-inflammatory and has sterilization effect. Daisy is great for detoxification and whitening effect, Edelweiss and Niacinamide that has high content of water-soluble Vitamin B3 which helps skin whitening.

SEP Cactus Fruit Moisturizing Mask 

This ultra-moisturizing mask gives dry complexions a revitalizing and hydrating boost it deserves as the cactus fruit has a high content of Vitamin C. It also contains many other nourishing natural ingredients from Jeju Island including Aloe Vera, Bamboo, Hyaluronic Acid and Basil. To enhance the absorption of the nutrients, Oat Seed is added to the mask to gently exfoliates, cleanses and nourishes the skin. This mask is suitable for sensitive skin as it comes with Salvia extract – a herb that is anti-inflammatory and has sterilization effect that helps revive and heals the skin.

SEP Canola Honey Nourishing Mask 

Formulated with concentrated honey extract from Jeju Canola Honey that is high in protein, fatty acid, vitamins and minerals that deeply nourishes and intensely hydrates the skin. The addition of Centella Asiatica, also known as "tiger grass", that contains a significant amount of madecassic acid helps to revive dull and dehydrated skin. Rose water, chamomile, and lavender that were added into the mask offers a lovely scent that provides soothing effect suitable for relieving anxiety, while aloe vera is known for its nourishing properties that moisturise dry skins, providing the skin with a healthy glow.

SEP Green Tea Soothing Mask 

This ultimate soothing mask is loaded with high concentration of green tea extract that comforts irritated skin, resulting in healthier and more radiant-looking complexion. While tea tree has anti-bacterial and sterilization reaction that deeply soothes the skin, Centella Asiatica has madecassic acid substance that helps in skin renewal. On top of that, Propolis, Yam Essence and Lavender help refresh and moisturize the skin, leaving it soft and supple.

So can you guess which one I will be trying out?

I have tried many kind of masks but not Cactus Fruit!Well we all know how cactus have really strong survivor skill in dessert. SEP Cactus Fruit Moisturising Mask is stated to be a ultra moisturizing mask that gives hydration with cactus fruit ingredient grown in Jeju, making skin moist. The mask sheet is thin but well moisturize with essence and it was easy to put on my face. 

To enable maximum absorption of the essence and nutrient by the skin, SEP Jeju Mask Pack uses an innovative formula known as air pocket sheet. Specifically designed to fit any face, the mask sheet contains small airy space on the facial mask fabric that adheres to the skin to encapsulate air and lock in the active-rich essence, providing a more effective absorption of nutrient for the skin. 

After washing my face and applying my oner, I put on the mask and let it on for 10-20 minutes. While waiting I was listening to my favourite music. 

Not wasting any single drop of essence from the mask, I usually squeeze it  before applying on my face, neck and hands for better absorption. Overall I feel the mask is pretty moisturizing and did deliver what it promises. And it's gentle to the skin as well.

Review: Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jelly Pack and K.I.S.S Whitening Collagen Cream Mask

I always have been a big fan of facial mask and if you asked me how many tubes/jars/sheet of masks I actually owned at home... let me count.... Seriously I lost count  of them because I am quite adventurous in trying different types of masks and just buy whenever I see something interesting! I have masks in different texture... Cream, Clay, Gel Powder, Sheet, Liquid, Gel and even Bubble Mask! And this time around I was given two jar of really unique masks to try, I'm pretty excited about it!

And today I discovered there is mask in Jella (jelly) texture!! 

Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jelly Pack is a mask enriched with 50% pure collagen, giving you a baby-soft, peachy complexion. 50,000 mg of collagen peptide (extracted from natural pig skin) blended with adenosine, bean fermentation extract, macadamia seed oil and cacoa extract to deeply nourish skin and lock in moisture. The cooling gel texture forms a resilient, jelly-like layer on your skin, allowing all the nutrients to penetrate. Enhances skin elasticity and firmness, suitable for all skin types. Yes I was really surprised to find out this is made from the collagen extracted from natural pig skin (no wonder the packaging has little piggy picture) ! You know my mum often told me to take Pig trotters or even chicken feet (in moderation quantity!) because she said plenty of collagen. So I went to google and found that collagen is the main structural protein found in the connective tissues of animals and is present in places such as the skin, tendon and bones. The skin in particular, is believed to have qualities of elasticity and strength. Okay first time trying pig skin collagen mask, I know you will be thinking gross! Okay let me be the white mice and try and let you know my feedback!

p/s: Too bad I can't read Korean description but I think it generally meant what I mentioned above. 

And this product is so famous that now there is a fake version of this mask! Wah...

I like how it comes with a nice cover & spatula for me to spoon out my mask (very hygienic!). According to the recommendation, this  mask can be used in 2 ways. Can wash it off after 20 to 30 mins, or can be used as sleeping mask overnight.

And if you ask me what so unique about this Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jelly Pack?

It's definitely the texture.  The cooling gel texture forms a resilient, jelly-like layer on your skin, allowing all the nutrients to penetrate.

Did I mentioned the mask smells really nice ...not only the texture jelly puding but it smells like one (haha yah the smells make me feeling hungry!)

What is more interesting is what I see in the jar, so magically that I never seen anything like this before! I bet you haven't too!

I went on stirring the Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jelly Pack (in pic 3)  like how I do when I bake cake and within minutes the mask texture magically return to the original smooth texture! Freaking amazing right!

So back to my review on  Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jelly Pack, when I first put on a layer of the mask, I actually forgot that the ingredient of the mask is actually extracted from pig skin because it smells so nice... so fruity! And texture is very unique because you felt as if it melt on your skin. 

The first time I tried it, I leave it for 20 mins and I do feel a little bit of stickiness on the skin but doesn't really bother me so I went to wash it off. The immediate result is that I can feel my skin feel moister, softer and pores appears to look smaller. Was glad that overall the skin appear to look a bit brighter (like in the picture above). Occasionally I leave the mask overnight as sleeping mask and the result is slightly a bit better than washing it off.

Nowadays I really like mask packaging which is really convenient and fuss free..  Just press and pump out the mask so hygienic! It would be great if all our skincare products come with design like this... and pump out the exact quantity we need to apply ! 

Texture of the K.I.S.S Whitening Collagen Cream Mask is really creamy and thick. The scent is very minty (somemore I can feel that it smell somehow like my toothpaste!).. very refreshing! 

After I applied a thick layer of mask (about 2-3 pumps) and spread it out evenly on my face & neck immediately I felt a cooling minty sensation & tightening effect on my face.... such a nice feeling to beat the hot weather in Malaysia!

The next morning I washed off the mask and my skin feel so refresh! Overall the skin appears smoother, brighter and pores appear smaller too! This is definitely a nice sleeping mask with because the refreshing feeling that I had from the mask last me through the night! And if you are someone lazy to put on mask & wash it off after that well I recommend this K.I.S.S Whitening Collagen Cream Mask for you! And this is absolutely a really nice mask for hot weather like in Malaysia!
