Review : Rimmel Shock Gloss Lipgloss

When I received this product for review purposes from Rimmel Malaysia, I was quite unsure as do not personally like lipgloss or I would say I am very choosy when comes to lipgloss. I do not like sticky or too heavy scented gloss which most lip gloss in the market offers. So let's check out this gloss!

This Rimmel Shock Gloss Lip gloss claims to give a sensational 3D pout and a slick it on for outrageously full looking and glossy, super-soft lips.

I was given a transparent color. And there is another seven ultra-glossy tints in this range.

Unlike the usual lip gloss that comes with a brush or flock tip applicator, this comes with a spatula!

The texture is glossy and not very sticky

The gloss is made from combination of ginseng extract, grape seed oil and Shea butter which claims to help lips feel moisturized and conditioned, while a Vitamin Boost Complex of vitamins C, A and E leaves lips feeling nourished. This vitamin cocktail plus added green tea extracts also contains skin-friendly anti-oxidants.

My first time using spatula to apply lip gloss. I apply the gloss like how I apply butter on my bread.. hehe !!

This is my lips with my favorite nude lip color (Benefit Full Finish Lipstick in Lady's Choice) and with the gloss, this is certainly love!

My Say : This Rimmel Shock Lipgloss is scentless, glossy that gave me 3D dimension ( makes me so difficult to capture the color while doing this review) and surprisingly not sticky as I do not like sticky lip gloss. Quite long lasting too!! Personally I do not like the spatula applicator as when I applied it on top of lipstick, the spatula will accidentally scope up my lip color.

Pros : Scentless, Not sticky, very glossy (give 3D dimension) and quite long lasting.
Cons : Spatula applicator will accidentally scope the color of the lipstick on my lips.

Review : Rimmel Mascara Remover

Yes I got another mascara to review from Rimmel, but this is mascara remover in a tube!

Looks like mascara but this not mascara!

I love this packaging because it's so small and portable, can just drop this into my handbag and bring it with me anywhere! And this would be perfect to bring for traveling!

A round comb applicator

This packaging will ensure there is no split out from the

Texture is watery (gel type)

This mascara remover contains oil-based cleansing agents like Camellia Oil and Amino Acid derivatives that easily removes waterproof mascara.

So what I do is I comb my eyelashes with this mascara remover and make sure every lashes is soak with remover. 20 seconds later I am ready to wipe of the mascara with cotton pad. I would repeat the above steps until all the waterproof mascara are completely remove from my lashes. No rubbing is necessary. And I am quite happy that I do not get any sensitivity during the period of testing this mascara remover.

Note : However it took me some time to clean of my most stubborn Max Factor Fake Lash Effect Mascara.

Pros : Generally cleans my waterproof mascara pretty well, easy to use and packaging is portable to bring for traveling
Cons: Kinda pricey for 6.5ml

Review : Rimmel Forever Shape Super Long & Full Volume Mascara

Congrats to Ayumi Hamasaki, she is the brand new ambassador!

Apart from Rimmel London Eye – Exaggerate Liquid Eye Liner, there are some others products I received for review. Among them I received 2 tubes of mascara, which is one of my favorite cosmetic products.

I will be reviewing these two mascara in this post, i,e Rimmel Forever Shape Volume Mascara and Super Long Mascara.

Note : Both mascaras only come in one color , i.e Ultra Black

My review : The mascara color is intense and I will say that the mascara definitely gives me lengthening staying effect as it promises. And the mascara dried up pretty fast before I put on my second application of the mascara and my lashes got clumped together. This mascara is definitely waterproof/smudge proof as I have applied it to go work and come home 8 hours later looking fine. The black fiber on the mascara is too much (unlike the Tsuya Tsuya Angel Eyes Mascara) and the fiber stay pretty on my eyes too without much smudging .

Pros : Lengthening effect proven, color intense, waterproof/smudge proof
Cons : Lashes clumped together.

Price : RM49.90 for 8ml

Unlike the Super Long mascara, this full volume mascara's brush applicator is not as curvy as the earlier on and the brush applicator is slightly bigger and dense compare to the super long mascara.

My say : The color is intense, it is tested to be waterproof/smudge proof however this mascara fails to show me that my eyelashes are more voluminous .

Pros : Smudge proof/Water proof , Color intense
Cons : Cant able to see much of different that eyelashes are fuller or voluminous

Review : Rimmel London Eye – Exaggerate Liquid Eye Liner

A while ago, Rimmel sent me some products for review and my post is long due. Here are my honest review.

Rimmel London Eye – Exaggerate Liquid Eye Liner

Benefit
Exaggerate Eye Liner creates a bold, precision contour around the lash line. Long lasting, easy to use liquid liner for an intense result.

As you can see the tip of the applicator(brush) is sharp and precise and which make the application very easy, just like how we used pencil eyeliner.

The color (black) is very intense, even with just 1 swipe.

With just 1 swipe, I manage to draw a very thin line for my eyes. Very simple and fast. And I really like it at this point, the packaging is small, the color is intense and it's so easy to use.


So I went for dinner after doing the swatch and to MY HORROR

The swatch on my palm smudges... (ya I was lazy to wash off the swatch and ran out for dinner nearby my house)

AND I looked into the mirror and got shocked!!!



I looked like panda here :(

The eyeliner is not smudge proof .

Or maybe I should try it with my eye primer or eye base again..

Pros : Precise, easy to apply , color is intense, easy to carry & affordable
Cons : Not smudge/waterproof
