Sasa Malaysia introducing Caudalie Vinosource at Blogger Tea Party

A while ago, Sasa organized an afternoon tea session for a bunch of beauty bloggers at Haagen-Dazs 1Utama to try their latest Caudalie Vinosource product.

Caudalie product specialist shared with us that 15 years ago, Caudalie and Professor Joseph Vercauteren established an exclusive worldwide patent for extracting and stabilizing grape seed polyphenols which are the best anti-oxidants in the plant kingdom. The 3 key active ingredients from the vine which gives hydration and reducing skin sensitivity are :

I like the texture, very smooth and easy to absorb. And best of all, it is very very soothing because there is a cooling sensation after I applied it. It has a quite a strong smell of fruity smell.

I will be passing this bottle to my sister who has very sensitive skin, will ask her for feedback after she tried!

Review : Collistar Talasso- Scrub Termoattive

A while ago Sasa Malaysia is looking for guest writer for Collistar Talasso- Scrub Termoattivo a brand that Sasa carries in their store and guess what LUCKY ME was selected to be one of them!

I was given a deluxe size of 150g to try which lasts me for less than 3 times, I tried on my big fat thighs and round tummy!

Ingredients List

When I first opened it, I take a sniff like how I usually do before using any new product. I must say Collistar Talasso Scrub Termoattivo smells so so good, full of lavender and rosemary essential oils, it is so heavenly refreshing!

As I was not provided with spatula, I have to use my fingers (without much thought) to dig out the salt to apply on my hand for this demo... Argh... those salts got stuck in my my nails as I was digging... and took me a while to remove it. So warning girls, get a spatula !

Texture : It is sea salt soaked in essential oils, the salt is fine but can still feel the beads

The first time I used it, I accidentally wet my body and put on the scrub on my body. And I must say it does not work well on wet skin as it melted even before I start scrubbing it and one must be very gentle while scrubbing or it will caused redness (especially for people with sensitive skin).

So when we apply this on dry skin, the salted did not melt away immediately and I got quite some time to scrub....

To be honest, I did not felt a lot of heat effect when I used the scrub, only very slightly warm feeling when I scrub intensely on my palm. And the heat effect only if you apply the scrub on dry skin!

Result : After scrubbing for a good 5-10 minutes, I can definitely say that my skin smells so good and awake (because of essential oils), smoother and slighter brighter. And to be honest I cant see whether there is slimming effect on my skin as the quantity is too little for me to last me a bit longer to see (got too much fat and I need more to scrub it away!).

This reminded me of my un-finished slimming packaging where the the salon therapist scrubbed my body with chilly scrubs. I remembered the therapist was using the method of pushing/scrubbing the fats from the side to the middle part of the body.

So I guess if I would apply the same method, the probably the scrub slimming effect would work better for me??

Or maybe I should hire a lady masseur and help scrub everyday for 1-2 hour, I believe still cheaper than the freaking expensive slimming package!

And would really consider purchasing it if the price was slightly lower or having discount as I believe a bottle of 700g would not last me long with so many fat deposits around me..hehe !

p/s: My bf told me I smell so good and he love this smell the most among my other body scrub.

Sasa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010

The Sasa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010 was held in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre recently attended by medias, celebrities, Sasa's trade partners and bloggers! So I was one of the 30 lucky bloggers invited to cover the event ..YEH!

The event was an award presentation to the winners of the 6 fragrance categories voted by the Malaysian consumers which emerged after 38 weeks of intensive promotional campaign by Sa Sa. It was a tough fight as Sa Sa received a total of 38,436 votes from all Sa Sa stores and their website too. Every vote counts!

Campaign officially started to kick out on 27 August 2010 with 12 nominated fragrances in the running for big industry, namely Best Women's Fragrance, Best Men's Fragrance, Best Couple Fragrance and Fragrance of the Year 2010. This year Sa Sa also introduced new award such as Special Colorscentsations Award.

Anyway, let's find out which fragrance managed to win the heart of Malaysian!

The honorable panel of judges which comprises of local celebrities such as Amber Chia the Top Model (she was not present as she just given birth) , Sazzy Falak & Nazril Idrus (Celebrity Couple), Awal Ashaari (TV Host) and Owen Yap (Award Winning TV Host) contributed 40% of the points that went to determine the winning fragrances. The remaining 40% was contributed by theby the general public while the balance 20% was obtained from the results of fragrance sales tabulated up until 30 Sept 2010.

Sa Sa pledged to contribute back to society by donating RM1 for every bottle of fragrance sold during the campaign to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA) . A mock cheque amounting to RM13,389 (meaning a total of 13,389 bottles was sold!!!) was collected from the campaign and donated to the association!

Well done Sa Sa for being charitable !

Of course I did not miss the chance of taking picture with friends, blogger friends and handsome Owen Yap !



And at the end of the day Sa Sa gave us a perfume as a token of appreciation !!!

I think October is going to be a very busy month for me ( my birthday month too!!!). Its just me or nowadays there so many events related to beauty going on! Well its a good thing! Beauty company realised they need to engage with the people to make it happen.
